Combat Online 2 is a multiplayer shooter from NadGames in which you can switch between first-person and third-person view at any time. Its CrazyGames listing describes more than 380 maps, a zombie mode and a parkour system on top of the usual team gunfights. The build we host (it reports itself as version 1.928b) also contains a full map editor that players use to build and upload their own maps.

Controls

On a keyboard and mouse the layout follows the standard shooter pattern, with a few extras:

• WASD or arrow keys: move; Shift sprints and C crouches
• Spacebar: jump
• Left click: fire; right click: aim down the sights
• R: reload; keys 1 to 4 swap weapons; G throws a grenade
• F: toggle the third-person camera
• V: dance; Tab: open the player list

The game also runs on phones and tablets. There you get an on-screen joystick for movement plus separate buttons for shooting, aiming, jumping, reloading, crouching, dancing and switching the camera.

Weapons and loadout

The weapon models in the game files include a knife, two pistols, two shotguns, a sniper rifle and two assault rifles, and landmines also appear in the code. Weapons can be picked up on the map as well as carried in your slots, and the game has ammo pickups too.

Maps made by players

The map editor lets people place cubes, platforms, buildings, lamps, spawn points, vehicles, images, sounds and even scripts, then save and upload the result. In the server browser you can filter by game mode, show approved maps only, add maps to your favorites and vote for maps.

Parkour maps and records

Some maps are parkour courses rather than arenas. These keep a records table with run times. The settings include an option to show all parkour maps when you are browsing servers.

Ranks, clans and rankings

Your account carries a military rank, with insignia named Private, Corporal, Sergeant, Sergeant Major, Captain, Major, Colonel and General. You can create or join a clan and manage its members, and a ranking window lists the top players by kill/death ratio and other stats. There is in-game chat, private messages, and a block list for players you would rather not hear from.
